Color Absence

Sunday, June 28, 2015

Hello loves! How has the start of your weekend been? I wish I could say mine has been full of excitement however I can't since I'm working all weekend. I was talking with Dave earlier today telling him my schedule for the next fives days and I looked at him exhausted not even realizing what was ahead of me! Do you ever do that? Commit to a bunch of things not looking at the dates and then when it comes to it realize you overbooked yourself? Yup. This girl right here!

Any whooooo, I thought I'd brighten up my spirits and maybe even yours if you need it with this outfit post from something I wore last week. I absolutely adore the color white, mainly because it is a clean blank slate that pairs well with anything. It's so crisp and I find can have such an airy feeling that exudes tranquility. Add some lace to that and you've got yourself a classic, airy, relaxing piece of clothing that I can't stand seeing in my closet- it needs to be worn ALL THE TIME!

I've been dying to jump into the headpiece trend and even though I haven't quite found the one that I will reach for over and over again, this headband is super stylish and not to mention super comfortable. It's not one of those headbands that dig into your forehead and cut off the oxygen heading to your brain! I've spotted other head pieces such as this one, this one and oh this one too; but haven't committed for several reasons. #1- As I have stated before, I HATE online shopping. So after checking the store a bunch of times and having zero luck on my treasure hunts I would have to ultimately purchase at least one of them online. # 2- My hair is super thin and super flat, so to achieve the right look takes tons of time and practice, both of which I do not have stock in. For me right now time = zzzzzzzz. And #3- I make up excuses so that it seems like my laziness is justified. Haha who doesnt?

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I will share with you again soon!

Until next time loves!

Lace-y Days

Thursday, June 25, 2015

Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is having an awesome week so far; I know I can't be more ready for a Friday night date with my handsome guy...c'mon Friday!

So my promise to post once a week sort of failed because photos are not easy to obtain when you need to take pictures of yourself and all you have is..well, yourself. Any tips or tricks on this would be most helpful and greatly appreciated!! ((No, I do not have a time machine or clone machine for that matter.)) However, thanks to the great gals that I work with who support me everyday I was able to have help from them to snap a few quick pics on break. Thank you Lynne and Anne for everything you do for me! (( Okay now off my rant and on to the post.))

Today's post is super feminine and flirty, and I love it!

( Shirt: SheIn , Skirt: SheIn, Shoes: Payless (old) similar here and here )

The softness of the lace mixes well with the soft grey color of the tool skirt. Both of these pieces were recent purchases off of SheIn, this fab website where you can find all of the latest trends and styles at super low and affordable pricing. I am constantly browsing the site and adding items to my bag.Yes, I AM ADDICTED! I absolutely cannot wait to purchase from the site again. I mean, how cute are these pieces?

I had been contemplating ordering from the site for over two weeks and put a considerable amount of time into researching reviews of the quality and customer service of the site. After watching many YouTube hauls and reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot! First thing you need to know is I hate online shopping. Despise it. Loathe it. However given the amount of time I have to do any real shopping and the low prices on the site I was intrigued to try it, and I am so happy I did! All in all I purchased seven or eight pieces totaling just over $100, which also included free express shipping. I ordered the items on a Thursday and my first shipment arrived on the following Monday. The next shipment arrived on Tuesday, leaving part of my purchase on back order. A little over a week later from the date I made the purchase I had not received the back ordered items so I emailed customer service about the issue. Within 24 hours I received a response back telling me the shipment was on its way. I was very impressed by the quality of their staff and business. I looked today to find that the package will deliver no later than Friday this week and I am going to be one happy girl! What girl or guy doesn't love coming home to a present at their door step or in their mailbox?!? Doesn't matter if I paid for it or not, I still get giddy!!

One other thing I wanted to mention when purchasing from this website is the sizes do vary quite a bit. They are not your typical smalls, mediums and larges- please please please read the details on the sizes for each particular item and even customer reviews on the pages if listed below the item. Sometimes knowing that a person weighing a similiar weight that is a similar size to you purchased a size medium and it fits snug on them may be helpful to you if you want a looser fit to order a size up. Out of all of the items I received so far from the website the skirt on this post was the most snug and I would suggest to others to order a size up. Luckily it fits and just is a little snug..nothing that a little tug dance can't fix! (( You know the dance I'm talking about. If not, then you have been graced with perfection and I wish I was that blessed. ))

So if you are looking for wardrobe pieces but don't want to splurge you should definitely give this website a try for great quality, service and of course price!

Until next time loves!

Don't Go Changin'

Sunday, June 14, 2015

Hey loves! I have definitely been the worst blogger since my last post was quite some time ago!! I put so much effort into creating the blog and now I feel like I'm completely neglecting it. Well, there is no excuse for such neglect but I'm hoping that everyone can take all the current changes going on as points on my score sheet!

At the beginning of the month I added a third job to my resume- "part time mommy"- that has struck me with baby fever (( don't worry Dave...we've got alot to accomplish before that happens )). My friend started back at work after giving birth to the most handsome baby boy and while leaving him is something she hates, he gets Auntie snuggles and tons of Auntie kisses. I sort of wish I could leave my jobs and just do this full time! This three month old cast zero judgements of my morning breath, less than appealing casual wear and bare face. As long as I am there to feed, burp and change him I could look like Ms Frizzle and it wouldn't make a difference!

We also decided not to stay at the apartment we currently reside in, so being in the process of moving- yet again - is ultra stressful and I try to use my "time off" to do something relaxing. The past three saturdays we decided to venture to the beach and it has been wonderful to find the time to spend together, althought the rides down sometimes include my usual conversation of figuring out the unknowns of the future. The wishlist for our next place would have to include enough space for the three of us, a backyard, at least two bedrooms, and somewhere where we both love to be. When it comes to change, I really stink at having patience and faith that everything will work out but Dave shows me everyday that life is so much easier without stressing over small things. We have our health, and each other and that's what really matters. Everything will work out the way it is supposed to, in the time it is supposed to.

I want to thank everyone for understanding why I haven't been posting but want to make a promise to myself and to you all that I will post at least once a week. So there, its been said so it shall be done.

Until next time loves!
